The Oklahoma Kids' College Savings Campaign is about building assets. The campaign focuses on two critical assets: a college degree and savings.
Having a college degree and savings means:
The ability to build and hold assets distinguishes families who are impoverished from those who are economically secure and productive. Children of parents with assets have higher self-self esteem and fewer early pregnancies, save as teenagers, and are more likely to own a home when they are adults.
